Marshall County pastor Jim Irwin was arrested Wednesday after a prostitution sting.

WNDU reports Irwin is the director of Care and Share Ministries in Plymouth. The non-profit was started in 2004 to help provide emergency shelter to families when they are in crisis.

A sign on the front door read “Care and Share office is closed due to illness” on Wednesday.

According to a LinkedIn in Irwin’s name, he was also a pastor at Maple Grove United Methodist Church. Irwin’s wife was a pastor at the South Bend church until just over a year ago.

Irwin faces charges of providing prostitution, two counts of patronizing a prostitute, dealing a controlled substance, and dealing a substance represented as a controlled substance. He is being held on a $60,000 cash bond.

A predator who chose a place to put him in a position of control over people needing guidance…I’m sure he asked for forgiveness though…
