Notre Dame revokes honorary degree given to Bill Cosby

The University of Notre Dame has revoked the honorary degree given to Bill Cosby nearly twenty years ago.

That announcement, made by University President The Reverend John Jenkins just after Cosby was found guilty on multiple charges of sexual assault.

The degree was given to him back in 1990, WSBT reported.

A statement released by Jenkins, said:

“While certainly troubled by serious, public accusations made by multiple women against him, the University elected to wait until due process had been afforded the accused, and a verdict delivered, before rescinding the honor.”
