Repeat offender from Elkhart sentenced on gun charges

An Elkhart man is going to prison for being a felon in possession of firearms.

46-year-old Eugene Troxell was sentenced in federal pcourt this week to a little over seven years in prison and two years of supervised release. Court documents say Troxell sold two guns that were stolen from a federally-licensed gun dealer.

Troxell has 12 prior felony convictions in ten cases and include convictions for violent crimes and controlled substance offenses.
