Woman, 48, killed after colliding with semi in Stueben County

One person was killed in a crash between a compact car and a semi in Steuben County.

According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened just before 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, on State Road 120 near the intersection of County Road 700 North, which is a few miles east of Orland.

A Fiat 500 reportedly crossed the center line and sideswiped the semi, which caused the car to flip over and eject its driver,  Susan Jakovljevic, 48, of Fremont, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi was not injured.
