Five teenagers were apprehended after a vehicle left running outside of a Dowagiac liquor store was stolen.

Officers were called to the Northside Liquor Store just after 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, when the victim said she had left her car running for a couple of minutes and it was missing when she left the store.

The vehicle was quickly spotted by a Cass County Deputy on Dewey Lake Street in Wayne Township, just north of Dowagiac.

The suspects fled but were captured a short time later.

Two of them were 17-year-old males from Benton Harbor and face charges. A 15-year-old and two juveniles were released to their parents.
