Chances for a white Christmas dwindling

The Climate Prediction Center's Temperature Outlook for the next 6-10 days. (Map via PivotalWeather)

While a white Christmas was looking favorable last week, a shift in the forecast has changed that to looking not so favorable.

The Climate Prediction Center says over the next six to ten days, there is a greater than 50 percent chance that temperatures will be above normal and a greater than 40 percent chance that it will be drier than normal.

Model trends are also keeping things relatively dry during the time leading up to Christmas Day.
