The question, “What about the homeless?”, has come up often during the COVID-19 outbreak.  Now, the city of South Bend will be renting the Motel 6 in Roseland through the end of June to house the homeless who have COVID-19 and need to be in isolation.

The Board of Public Works approved around $270,000 for the move, which Mayor James Mueller says came about when he was approached by homeless advocates. The Motel 6 has 82 rooms and if needed they have the option to extend their rental for an additional 30 days.

As part of the plan the city will also provide meals and medical care for the homeless that are staying there.

People are crazy! April 15, 2020 at 1:57 pm

How do the “homeless” get tested for Covid19? I know 3 people that have been ill and were told just isolate for 14 days. We are only testing high risk people so the numbers are completely false when they are reported. I believe this is by design to push along the fear and mass hysteria narrative. Seems like the homeless are already self isolating so we need to leave them alone to do just that.
