Teen shot in Benton Harbor

A 17 year old in Benton Harbor is recovering after being shot multiple times early Thursday morning. Police say they were called to the area of S M-139 and Empire Ave on reports that a white vehicle had pulled alongside the teen and started shooting.

None of the teen’s injuries were life threatening, and he was able to drive himself to the hospital.

It’s unknown what direction the suspect vehicle went after the shooting. Anyone with information should all the Benton Township Police or Crimestoppers

This was targeted, and will just cause another shooting in retaliation down the road.

Maybe if the gangbangers invested in hollowpoints instead of shooting ball ammo, the annual shooting numbers would decline?
