Cocaine found in semi hauling thousands of pounds of garlic

A semi truck hauling garlic had a lot more than that in tow.

The discovery was made at a weigh station on I-94 as inspectors were checking the cargo of a trailer that was supposed to be loaded with about 18,000 lbs of minced garlic, and when they noticed a suspicious black case in the back they called state police.

It didn’t take long for officers to identify its contents at cocaine, and there was a lot of it. Police say that when the search was done they had found more than 100lbs of cocaine, worth between $1.5 and $2 million.

Two men, Baljinder Singh of Indio, California, and Gurwinder Singh of Riverside, California, were arrested and taken to the Porter County Jail.
