The South Shore Line will promote education and spread awareness during Rail Safety Week.

In partnership with Indiana Operation Lifesaver, South Shore representatives are warning that trespassing on railroad property is the leading cause of all rail-related deaths in the U.S.

They also warn that wearing headphones while walking or driving near railroad tracks is dangerous.
