Fire caused damage to a three-story home in Dowagiac.

Crews from Dowagiac and Wayne Township were called to the home in the 100 block of Telegraph Street late Sunday afternoon.

Crew members were able to make an aggressive interior attack to extinguish the the flames.

The blaze was under control in about 15 minutes. The fire appears to have started in the attic area.

Minor smoke, heat and water damage was noted throughout the home.

There was no immediate word about the cause of the fire.
