Amazon is stalling plans for five Michigan facilities as online shopping is slowing down across the U.S.
A new fulfillment center opened near Grand Rapids in March of 2020, as online shopping began to explode due to COVID. Amazon had planned on opening two additional facilities in the west Michigan city in short order, but that hasn’t happened yet.
Three others in the state are in the same holding pattern, or have been canceled altogether. Stanley Lim, an assistant professor of supply chain management at Michigan State, told Bridge Michigan that the unexpected shift in shopping behavior and rising costs are triggering Amazon and other companies to revisit their expansion plans.

Bezos and his ilk supported the disaster in the White House, and now the economy that they supported (and cheated for) is biting them in the backside. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t destroying the middle class at the same time…
AND, here in Indiana the county assessors have given it o us in the shorts by issuing higher assessments. Just as the housing industry is going into a depression. ON top of that those who finance housing are raising rats very quickly. Pretty soon that new assessment will be too high for the practical market value of a given average property. Hope you all remember this on election day.
