The NFL has accused the NFL Players Association of advising running backs to pretend or exaggerate injuries to improve their bargaining power during contract negotiations.
The NFL filed a grievance on September 11, and an arbitrator will review the case.
The league claimed that the union made this suggestion to running backs during a pre-season Zoom meeting and communicated it to its management council executive committee.
Colts’ running back Jonathan Taylor is currently in a contract dispute. He was placed on the physically unable to perform list at the start of the season since he is recovering from offseason ankle surgery.
