Two women injured in “T-bone” crash at County Roads 21 and 142

Two people received head injuries after colliding at the intersection of County Roads 21 and 142.

The crash happened just before 2 p.m. on Monday, June 10.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s investigators say a 76-year-old woman from West Virginia has stopped at the stop sign, but then proceeded through the intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 61-yar-old Mishawaka woman.

The West Virginia woman told police she didn’t see the other vehicle approaching the intersection. The Mishawaka woman says she didn’t have enough time to brake or swerve to avoid the collsion.

The two drivers were taken to Goshen Hospital for care.
