Michigan City man sentenced to federal prison for firearm offense

A Michigan City man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison after pleading guilty to illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Davon Jaqurious Coleman, 21, received an 84-month sentence followed by probation.
According to court documents, Coleman was found with a stolen, loaded firearm equipped with an extended magazine during a traffic stop in Michigan City. Coleman, who has prior felony convictions for robbery, is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms.
