A rollover crash on U.S. 20 left 55 cattle trapped inside an overturned trailer.

The crash happened on Monday, June 30.

Authorities say the tractor pulling the livestock trailer rolled onto its side due to excessive speed. The dramatic scene prompted local farmers to rush to the rescue, working to free the trapped animals.

While some cattle unfortunately did not survive, the remaining animals were safely transported to nearby farms for care before continuing their journey.

U.S. 20 was closed for several hours as crews worked the scene.
