The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles says its popular Blackout license plate will soon be available as a disability plate.

The new design becomes available February 13. The plate features the same all-black background and white lettering as the standard version, along with the international symbol of access.

It will be offered for passenger vehicles, light trucks, motorcycles and RVs for eligible customers.

More than 100,000 Hoosiers have already chosen the Blackout plate since its release.

Eligible drivers can get the disability version during registration renewal for an additional $45, or pay a small replacement fee to switch before their current plate expires.
