A new partnership is aiming to give Indiana veterans better access to their benefits.
The Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs and the American Legion have signed an agreement to boost training for County Veteran Service Officers.
Under the deal, officers who meet new state standards will receive full accreditation through the Legion.
Officials say the goal is to ensure every veteran in the state receives consistent, expert care when filing claims.
