Marian High School has dismissed longtime boys basketball coach Robb Berger, ending his 19-season tenure with the program.
Berger confirmed he was fired by the school’s principal.
The move comes about two weeks after he served a one-game suspension during Marian’s regional championship for a repeated IHSAA violation involving an unauthorized participant at practice.
Less than a week later, Mishawaka Police confirmed they are investigating a battery complaint tied to a March 10 practice.
In a statement, the school thanked Berger for his years of service.
