Man accused in police chase to go to trial this summer

A man accused of a dangerous multi-county police chase in Elkhart County will now face trial later this summer.

37-year-old Jamarius Bryant is charged with attempted murder after police say he drove a stolen SUV at high speeds, hitting two children and later trying to strike deputies in Marshall County.

Investigators say the pursuit began in Elkhart and ended hours later with Bryant’s arrest.

The Goshen News says due to his custody status in another county, a judge has continued the case. His jury trial is now set for July 6.
