An Elkhart man charged with attempted murder remains scheduled for trial later this summer following a pretrial hearing.

Xzavion Jerraid is accused in a shooting near Sixth and Jefferson streets that left a teenager wounded.

Investigators say surveillance video showed a suspect exiting a dark Toyota SUV, striking the victim in the head, then firing multiple shots.

According to The Goshen News, court documents state Jerraid’s cellphone was linked to the vehicle around the time of the shooting, and the victim later identified him as the gunman.

Jerraid’s jury trial remains set for August 3, and his bond was set at two million dollars.
