Goshen man arrested after bar disturbance leaves one injured

A South Bend man is facing multiple charges after a disturbance outside a Goshen bar.
Goshen Police were called around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, to the Imperial Bar on South Main Street after reports of possible gunshots. While officers were investigating, they say a verbal confrontation broke out and one person resisted officers trying to detain him.
Police arrested 25-year-old Angel Rodriguez of South Bend on charges including resisting law enforcement causing serious bodily injury, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct. During the incident, a 38-year-old man suffered a broken leg and was taken to Goshen Hospital for treatment. Rodriguez was booked into the Elkhart County Jail.
