Elkhart man faces 10 felony charges following Internet Crimes Against Children investigation

An Elkhart man faces 10 felony charges after an Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation, police said.
Elkhart police received a tip involving possible child sexual abuse material connected to IP addresses in the area. Investigators later obtained a warrant to search a home in the 51000 block of Winding Waters Lane.
Officers served the warrant on Aug. 31 and reported finding multiple images and videos of alleged child sexual abuse material on electronic devices.
Christopher R. Scott Jr., 19, of Elkhart, was arrested and booked into the Elkhart County Jail. The Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Scott with two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material as Level 4 felonies and eight counts as Level 5 felonies.
A judicial officer set bond at $100,000.
