The changes include reducing the speed limit along County Road 12 between Ash Road and County Road One to 50 miles per hour.
Other sections of County Road 12, extending toward Elkhart city limits, will have a 45-mile-per-hour limit.
The speed limit on County Road 52 between County Roads 29 and 31 will also drop to 45.
Meanwhile, the Golden Pond subdivision will have a 25-mile-per-hour speed limit.
Commissioners approved the changes as part of an ordinance updating traffic regulations.
Two intersections in Elkhart County are being converted from two-way stops to four-way stops.
County commissioners have approved changes at County Roads 5 and 2, along with the intersection of Old County Road 17 and County Road 20.
The changes are part of a broader ordinance updating traffic regulations throughout the county.
Drivers should watch for updated stop signs and be prepared to stop in all directions once the changes are implemented.
