The first Wine Walk of the season is set for Wednesday

A fine wine is always in season, but the Downtown Dining Alliance of South Bend officially kicks off its wine season with the first of several Wednesday Wine Walks.

It takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, in downtown South Bend. Free carriage rides will be available, weather permitting.

The walk is $40 per person per night, with $10 from each ticket going towards the city’s revitalization efforts.

There are 13 restaurants taking part and wristbands can be purchased on the first stop. Each restaurant taking part will provide three wine tastings, each paired with complimentary food.

The wine walks take place monthly through October. Two Beer Walks are scheduled in July and October.
