Woman's body found in Coloma, police seeking person of interest

Police are searching for a person of interest after a 79-year-old Coloma, Mich., woman was found dead.

Coloma Township Police Department and Berrien County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 500 block of Washington Street in Coloma just before 6 p.m. Friday, April 24, for a possible attempted suicide, WNDU reported.

The woman’s body was found inside a building. Police believe the incident is suspicious, WNDU reported.

Police are searching for 47-year-old Monty Ray Menefee for questioning, WNDU reported. Menefee is from the Coloma and Watervliet, Mich., area.
