SOUTH BEND — South Bend native Brett Banasiewicz returned to BMX competition at a South Bend BMX skate park over the weekend.
Banasiewicz was one of the top young professional BMX riders in the world more than two years ago when he was seriously injured in a crash during practice, according to 95.3 MNC’s news partner, ABC 57.
He finished in the top 10 overall in the 2015 PRO/AM contest at the Kitchen BMX Skate Park. The competition started Friday, March 20, and ended Sunday, March 22.
