Police are investigating an attempted kidnapping reported in Granger.

Three men inside a white van asked a teenage girl to get in. The girl refused, and the men drove the van around the Fox Chase subdivision following the girl until she ran away from them, according to 95.3 MNC’s news partner ABC 57.

A detective with the St. Joseph County Police was assigned to the case.

A Granger mom who lives in Fox Chase told ABC 57 that the incident made her feel uneasy and she had a talk with her children about it.

“Just because of my zip code, I don’t think we’re safer here than anyone else,” Kelly Kryder said.
