Winter Storm Warning expanded to entire 95.3 MNC listening area through 1 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has expanded the Winter Storm Warning that is in effect until 1 a.m. EST on Sunday, Nov. 22, to include all counties in the 95.3 MNC listening area.

The warning is in effect for St. Joseph, Elkhart, LaPorte, Starke, Marshall and Kosciusko counties in Indiana and Berrien, Cass and St. Joseph counties in Michigan. The warning is in effect until 10 p.m. for Starke, Marshall and Kosciusko counties.

Areas to the south remain under a Winter Weather Advisory.

Snow will continue across the area today and be heavy at times. System snow will transition to lake effect snow showers by Saturday evening, according to the NWS.

Snow accumulation of 5″ to 9″ inches in the warning zone is possible through tonight, according to the NWS.

Travel is expected to be hazardous where snow is falling and accumulating on roadways.
