Winter storm warning in effect Wednesday morning through Thursday afternoon

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana.

The watch starts Wednesday morning and last through Thursday afternoon. Some parts of the listening area could receive up to 8 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service, with the heaviest snowfall expected Wednesday evening.

The ABC-57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Center Forecast:

  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 40s.
  • Tonight: Mix of rain and snow sets in late, lows in the low 30s.
  • Wednesday: Rain and snow, then all snow, highs in the mid 30s.
  • Thursday: Snow showers, high in the mid to lower 30s.
  • Friday: Mostly cloudy, highs in the low 30s.
  • Saturday: Partly cloudy, highs in the low 30s.
  • Sunday: Partly cloudy, highs in the upper 20s.
