Snowfall totals peak at over a foot in LaPorte, while southwestern Michigan saw 8 inches or less

And the winner of the recent winter storm is either LaPorte or Three Rivers, Mich., depending on your standards for winning a snow storm.

About 12½ inches of snow fell in LaPorte, making it the city in our region with the most snowfall between Wednesday and Thursady, Feb. 25, according to the National Weather Service. Three Rivers, on the other hand, received only about 5½ inches.
