A Michigan City man now charged with murder stemming from a 2015 death has been arrested in Kentucky.

38-year-old Alan Cornelius Landry is charged with killing 31-year-old Nekia Nichelle Hyler of Michigan City, according to WNDU.

Hyler was found dead in a parked vehicle on Apr. 14, 2015 on the 300 block of Holliday Street. A 19-month long investigation finally resulted in an arrest warrant issued for Landry on Sunday.

A pair of officers from the Michigan City Police Department traveled to Kentucky to serve the warrant on Landry. He’s awaiting extradition back to Indiana.
