A LaPorte man was arrested on a drug dealing warrant on Thursday, March 9.

Reginald Spraggins, 42, has been charged with dealing in cocaine and narcotic drugs, according to a news release from the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department.

LaPorte County Drug Task Force Detective, Donald Hicks, had been investigating allegations of Spraggins’ drug activity since last year, according to the news release.

Spraggins was taken into custody, without incident, by the LaPorte Police Crime & Drug Reduction Strike Force as a result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of Tipton St, the news release stated.

LaPorte Chief of Police, Adam Klimczak said “this is yet another example of our dedicated county law enforcement agencies communicating and working together to get drug dealers off our streets. Dealers and their drug activities are not welcome here, and we will continue to reinforce that message as much as possible.”

Spraggins was being held on bond at the LaPorte County Jail.
