South Bend police searching for bank robbery suspect

Police in South Bend are actively seeking a man who robbed a 1st Source Bank Tuesday morning.

The robbery happened at about 11:30 a.m. at the Mishawaka Ave. location, according to ABC 57’s Hayley Fixler.

Officers say a black man in his 30s wearing a Notre Dame sweatshirt demanded money and then took off. A dye pack inserted into the stolen money was thrown outside of a home about a block away from the bank.

Officers are actively searching for the suspect, who was last seen heading northbound on 26th Street.
