Two former Indiana University-South Bend basketball players allegedly raped a student, and one of them is still on the loose.

Joseph Bannister and Phillip Corthen III allegedly raped a student during a party, then showed videos of the rape on Snapchat, according to ABC 57.

It happened at a party at Eddy Street Apartments on Feb. 18. Court records say the victim and her friend were drinking, and the victim downed about a dozen shots.

Later that night, someone at the party allegedly received a Snapchat from Bannister, showing an eight-second video that showed the victim being raped. Court documents say a second video with Corthen alongside Bannister was later sent, also showing the rape taking place.

Both men reportedly admitted to the St. Joseph County Special Victims Unit the next day that they had sex with the victim. Both have been charged with rape, with Corthen receiving an extra count. Bannister was arrested Friday and has already bonded out. A warrant is still out for Corthen’s arrest.

IUSB told ABC 57 that both Bannister and Corthen were no longer students at the school and were kicked off the basketball team after the alleged incident.
