Warsaw Police say they found a mobile meth lab in a car in the Westhaven Estates.
They were there Tuesday around 4:30 p.m. for a separate investigation, but saw that items associated with the manufacture of Methamphetamine were in plain view inside the vehicle.
The Narcotics Unit, Indiana State Police, Winona Lake Police Department, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, and Atwood Fire Department were all called to the scene to make sure the dismantling of the lab and clean-up of dangerous chemicals was completed safely.
52-year-old Robert Nelson of Elkhart was charged with level 3 felony Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursors, Corrupt Business Influence, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia. He is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $20,250 surety bond.
