Officers were called to the home in the 1600 block of Mallard Drive and discovered signs of a pot plant operation.

Byron Paul-Ricardo Sambat, 41, took off from the home when officers arrived with a search warrant, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers caught him shortly afterward.

Police found nearly 350 pot plants and more than 8 pound of processed marijuana, the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office stated.
