An arrest has been made in the case of an Elkhart man who was shot to death last month.

Elkhart County Prosecutor Vicki Becker announced Wednesday that 19-year-old Santori Dorsey was arrested in Indianapolis last week and has been charged with the felony murder of 19-year-old Lenell Williams.

Becker says the break in the case didn’t just come from investigators, but the community.

“One of the reasons this case came to conclusion was because the assistance of the neighbors in our community,” Becker stated during the press conference.

Becker made a plea for the community to step up and report drug dealers, saying they’re “magnets” for slayings like this. She does commend the community for speaking out more, but says more work needs to be done.

Dorsey, who allegedly killed Williams during a drug robbery, is awaiting extradition to Elkhart County. More arrests are possible. Others that were injured in the shooting are expected to recover.
