The end is near for a South Bend business that’s served the area for 100 years.

Sawyers Meats is closing this Saturday at the South Bend Farmers Market. The owners made the announcement on Facebook this week, stating that they’re being replaced by a new meat business: Rochester Meats and Deli. The Rochester, Indiana-based business is also a family owned business and the owners of Sawyers Meats are encouraging customers to visit the new meat store when it opens in 2018.

In the meantime, Sawyers Meats will have a “final inventory elimination” sale this Saturday.
