Another ruling made in South Bend Police Department wiretapping case

There’s been another ruling in the case of recorded phone calls at the South Bend Police Department.

In December, officers involved in the case disputed an appeals court ruling that was sent back to St. Joe County. The judge had ruled that the officers should not have any role in the case between the common council and the city regarding the possible release of those tapes, due to a settlement reached with the officers.

This week, a St. Joe County Judge has dismissed the complaint by the officers, adding that they can still be part of future lawsuits that may be filed in the matter.
