Man, 30, wounded in early Sunday morning shooting in South Bend

A 30-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in South Bend.

Officers with the South Bend Police Department were called to the 1300 block of W. Grace just after midnight on Sunday, June 17.

When officers arrived, they found the victim with a non-life-threatening bullet wound to the leg. The victim was taken to the hospital by medics for treatment.

The victim was outside when the shooting happened. There were at least two other vehicles with damage from the shooting. The vehicles were unoccupied.

Witnesses told police a dark colored SUV was seen leaving the area just after the shooting, but there was no immediate description of the suspect or suspects.
