Grand Rapids Police detectives are currently working a case of a missing one year old boy and are asking for the public’s assistance in trying to return him to his mother.

Miquis Lamont Jenkins is believed to be in the care of 19 year old Iyesha Catherine Gibbs. Gibbs often babysits Jenkins, which was the case on August 1, 2018 when she was supposed to watch him for a few hours, but left the home at 1:00 p.m. with the child and has not been seen since. Gibbs has connections to Grand Rapids as well as Benton Harbor, MI. Grand Rapids detectives have been working in collaboration with Benton Harbor PD in attempting to locate the child, but they are now branching out to ask the public for assistance.

Gibbs is described as a black female, 5’4”/250 pounds, with short black hair. Gibbs was last seen driving a silver SUV with a broken passenger side window which is covered in plastic and tape.

If you have seen Gibbs and Jenkins, or have any information about where they may be, please call Detective Kevin Snyder at (616) 456-3422, Sergeant Keith Hefner at (616) 3338, or Silent Observer at (616) 774-2345/silentobserver.org.
