A tornado touched down near Warsaw during Monday’s storms.
The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana confirms an EF-1 tornado touched down shortly before 8:30 p.m. a little over a mile northeast of downtown Warsaw, near Pike Lake.

The tornado, which had a maximum width of 50 yards, traveled four miles east for about seven minutes, crossing U.S. 30, before lifting five miles east of downtown Warsaw. Numerous trees were damaged and uprooted and several homes and cars were impacted.
The tornado featured speeds of roughly 90 miles per hour. It ran along the north side of a cell that featured 60 to 65 mile per hour winds and caused sporadic damage elsewhere.
