(Carli Luca/News Now Warsaw)

Congressman Jim Banks is applauding a grant of $6.3 million for improvements to the Warsaw Municipal Airport.

The grant, from the FAA, is earmarked for modernization efforts that were a priority for Mayor Joe Thallemer.

Banks says “a modernized, high-efficiency airport is crucial to the economic growth of Northeast Indiana.” He says the grant will allow Warsaw the funds necessary to make sure the airport continues to be a safe and efficient connection between Warsaw and the rest of the world.
