Former Valpo U student sentenced after secretly filming male students in shower

A former Valparaiso University student has been sentenced after he admitted to secretly filming male students using the bathroom and showering and then posting the videos online.

A Porter County judge on Monday sentenced Joshua Baker III, of Memphis, Tenn., a two-year suspended sentence, one year for each count of voyeurism Baker had pleaded guilty to in the case.

Baker, 22, must serve two years on probation and attend counseling.

Baker admitted to filming men in the bathroom at a school dormitory, Wehrenberg Hall, and posting the videos to a pornographic website.

Court papers say one of the men filmed showering contacted police and gave them Baker’s identity after finding him using Facebook.

After an investigation, Baker was banned from campus by university police.
