Covert man arrested after deadly motorcycle crash on I-94

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a deadly motorcycle crash on I-94.

The collision happened early Sunday morning, July 19, near mile marker 19 when a 26-year-old Covert man was traveling westbound and rear ended a motorcycle driven by a 33-year-old Chicago man, according to Michigan State Police.

The motorcyclist died after the collision.

The driver of the car was taken into custody on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated causing death.
