School City of Mishawaka announces spring semester plans

The School City of Mishawaka has announced its plans for the spring semester.

The new changes will take effect on January 4, when students are scheduled to return back to the classroom following winter break.

ABC 57 News reports the new schedule will divide students’ hybrid and in-person learning schedules by grade levels:

  • 7th graders, freshmen and sophomores will meet for in-person learning on Mondays and Tuesdays, and will have virtual learning days Wednesdays through Fridays.
  • 8th graders will meet for in-person learning on Thursdays and Fridays, and will have virtual learning on Mondays through Wednesdays.
  • Juniors and seniors will meet for in-person learning on Wednesdays through Fridays, with Mondays and Tuesdays being virtual learning days.
  • Elementary students will have the option of either in-person learning or 100% virtual instruction.
