The City of Benton Harbor is asking residents how they should spend their newest grant funding from the CARES Act.

It’s Benton Harbor’s second allocation of funds under the CARES Act.

ABC 57 reports that the new influx of grant money will bring the total amount to just over $300,000 dollars. The City had been using community development grants for a Home Rehabilitation loan program, seeking to help homeowners who need to make small repairs.

Community members say they want the city to advertise the application plan clearly so everyone who needs the help can receive it.
