Elkhart High School student arrested after striking staff member

An Elkhart High School student has been arrested after allegedly hitting a staff member.

It happened on Tuesday when the staffer told officers she was attempting to break up a fight between the suspect and another student.

She said she was struck in the arm several times.

The student was arrested on preliminary battery charge and was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

When can we start kicking out the kids who don’t want to be there anyway? Those resources would be much better spent on the kids with a future.
