Four students were arrested Tuesday after a fight at the Elkhart Area Career Center.

The Elkhart Police Department says an off-duty officer in full uniform working as security for the Elkhart Community Schools’ Life Program witnessed a female student yelling at another student in the lunch room.

ABC 57 reports the students fought and the officer was knocked to the ground while trying to break up the fight, which two other students joined in on. All four students, aged 14, 16, 17, were charged with disorderly conduct.
